Susi London is of Scandinavian heritage and, following 20 years in London, has returned to live and work in the county of her birth; Berkshire. She studied 3D Design at Ravensbourne University London. She has trodden various career paths including interior design, web design, illustration and teaching, before finding her passion for painting in around 2018, following a major illness and relationship breakup.
Her passion for landscape and nature is clear from her chosen subject matter, which has often included woodland, and shows her love and fascination for trees, which, in her words, are the life-source of planet Earth and all life on it.
Susi paints expressively and whilst trees and forests have continued to be a passion, her work has recently started seeking to represent more difficult emotions and past hurts. She plays with the juxtaposition of light and dark, and the different emotional responses created.
Susi is currently painting mainly in acrylics on canvas, but she likes to explore other media and her style continues to develop and evolve.
